MEET CELESTE KINNEY

Celeste Kinney is a junior at the University majoring in Political Science. She is interested in pursuing law school after completing her undergraduate career and a career as an attorney, with a long term goal of opening her own law firm. She is involved on campus with Support for Incoming Black Students (S.I.B.S.) as a Cluster Leader and the Michigan Pre-Law Society along with the National Council of Negro Women. She is passionate about social change and progression, and pursues this through her coursework, organizations, and daily activities.

MEET JANELLE WRIGHT

Janelle is currently a junior at U of M pursuing a major in Psychology and minor in Crime and Justice. She plans to continue to graduate school in hopes of working with children in psychology in a clinical setting. Janelle is a Diversity Peer Educator working in University Housing. Diversity on campus and multiculturalism are among Janelle’s many passions. This is Janelle’s first year working with NCNW, she enjoys volunteering with children and organizing events to benefit the community. Janelle stays encouraged by recalling the scripture, Luke 1:37: “For nothing is impossible with God.”
