Lauren Pruitt is a Senior at the University of Michigan from Kalamazoo, MI. Her major is Elementary Education with a Concentration in Integrated Science. On campus, Lauren is the Membership Chair for the University of Michigan Section of the National Council of Negro Women, a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Education Society and a tutor for 826Michigan in Ann Arbor. For Summer 2013, Lauren will travel to Rome, Italy to study abroad for six weeks through the Italian Studies Program. After graduation, Lauren is interested in working with youth in the capacity of science education and college readiness.
